SBCM is a biannual event organized by the Computer Music Interest Group (CECM) of the Brazilian Computing Society (SBC). It is an exciting and thriving venue for sharing ideas about recent developments in computer music, sound and music processing, music information retrieval, computational musicology, multimedia performance, and many other topics related to art, science, and technology. In 2025, the SBCM will be hosted by Interdiciplinary Nucleus of Sound Studies (NICS) at the UNIVERSITY OF CAMPINAS (UNICAMP).
Our intention is to promote a greater diversity of themes, observe innovative techniques and aesthetic orientations on sound as art and computing, in order to contribute to integration, inclusion and cultural diffusion.SBCM welcomes articles on all topics related to the intersection between computer science/engineering and music. At the time of submission, authors will be able to include other topics to facilitate the review process and welcome unlisted points.
* Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Music Information Retrieval;
* Software Development for Musical Applications;
* Computational Musicology;
* Musical Cognition and Computer Music;
* Real-Time Musical Systems for Improvisation and Telematic Performance;
* Machine Listening and Musical Creation;
* Audio Signal Processing, Sound Analysis, and Digital Audio Effects;
* Physical Modeling and Sound Synthesis;
* Sound Spatialization and Immersive Environments.

Artistic Chair – Ivan Simurra (Unicamp – I.A.)
Local Chair – Dante Pezzin (NICS)The organising committee is working on the following contributions formats:
* Full Papers: For Technical Papers are expected to present original research work, deal with research and outcomes involving subjects related to computer music’s broad territory. Music Papers centered on artistic and musical activities related to the conference theme, discussing artistic/creative processes description, aesthetics on digital music, computational musicology, or practice-based research approaches. Full Papers will be presented at the scientific track. At least one of the authors must register for the conference. They can have up to 8 pages and must be written in English and reviews will be double-blind.
* Performances and artworks are expected to explore the intersections of computing, music and other artistic and technological forms, including installations, telematic performances videos and interactive works. Submissions will be selected by the Artistic Committee and presented as part of the SBCM/ENCM Fest.
* Poster Session is an engaging platform designed for researchers and practitioners to showcase their innovative work in the field of music and computing. This session invites contributions from research groups, art collectives, studio practitioners, and other collaborative initiatives that highlight artistic and research activities conducted in laboratories, projects, research teams, universities, communities, or research centers focused on computers and music. Submissions may include research findings, creative projects, or activity reports. All submissions will be evaluated by the organizing committee, and selected works will be presented as part of the SBCM/ENCM Track.
All the submitted works will be published in the SBCM proceedings and in the SBC Open Library.
